Olioz margotutako kobrea da. Bertan, Kalbariorako bidean, Santa Veronicak Jesusen aurpegia beloarekin bustitzen duen unea irudikatzen da. Bertan, Salbatzailearen irudia mirariz inprimatuta geratuko da. Tradizio katolikoan, une hau Via Cruciseko Seigarren Estazioan dago irudikatuta. Eszenaren patetismoa pertsonaien pilaketa nabar eta barroko baten bidez irudikatzen da, eta horien artean soldaduak, Gurutzea garraiatzen laguntzen duten gizonak edo haurrak daude. Protagonismorik handiena, ordea, Veronica, Ama Birjina, San Juan eta Jesukristo dira, bera baita ikusleari begiratzen dion bakarra.

Se trata de un cobre pintado al óleo en el que se representa el momento en el que, camino del Calvario, Santa Verónica enjuga el rostro de Jesus con el velo, en el que quedará milagrosamente impresa la imagen del Salvador. En la tradición católica, este momento está representado en la Sexta Estación del Via Crucis. El patetismo de la escena se representa mediante una abigarrada y barroca aglomeración de personajes, entre los que hay soldados, hombres ayudando a transportar la Cruz o niños. El mayor protagonismo recae, sin embargo, en las figuras de Verónica, La Virgen, San Juan que la acompaña y del propio Jesucristo, que es el único que mira al espectador.

This is an oil-painted copperplate depicting the moment when, on the way to Calvary, Saint Veronica wipes Jesus', face with her veil, on which the image of the Savior is miraculously imprinted. In Catholic tradition, this moment is represented in the Sixth Station of the Way of the Cross. The pathos of the scene is represented through a motley and baroque agglomeration of figures, including soldiers, men helping carry the Cross, and children. The greatest prominence, however, falls on the figures of Veronica, the Virgin, Saint John who accompanies her, and Jesus Christ himself, who is the only one looking at the viewer.
