Marrazki honetan, bere herritik abiatzeko jarreran dagoen gazte bat ikusten da lehen planoan. Alkandora eta galtza argiak eta txapel beltza ditu jantzita. Eskuineko eskuarekin, eta sorbaldaren gainean bermatuta, makila bat dauka. Makila horren muturrean, boltsa bere gauzekin lotuta dago. Eszena itsasertzean garatzen da, itsaslabarren eta itsasoaren profila bereiziz. Portu bateko bokalea ere bai, ontzi txiki batzuekin. Beste bi pertsonaiek, gizon batek eta zapi zuri bat astintzen duen emakume batek (ziur aski, gurasoek), gaztea kaleratzen dute.

En este dibujo se ve en primer plano a un joven en actitud de partir de su pueblo. Viste camisa y pantalón claros y txapela negra. Con la mano derecha y apoyado sobre el hombro porta una vara en cuyo extremo va atado el hatillo con sus pertenencias. La escena se desarrolla en un ambiente costero, en el que se distingue el perfil de los acantilados y el mar. También la bocana de un puerto con algunas embarcaciones pequeñas. Otros dos personajes, un hombre y una mujer que agita un pañuelo blanco(posiblemente, los padres), despiden al joven.

In this drawing, a young man is seen in the foreground about to leave his village. He is wearing a light-colored shirt and trousers, and a black txapela. With his right hand, resting on his shoulder, he carries a stick with his bundle of belongings tied to the end. The scene takes place in a coastal setting, where the outline of the cliffs and the sea can be seen. Also visible is the mouth of a harbor with a few small boats. Two other figures, a man and a woman waving a white handkerchief (possibly his parents), bid the young man farewell.
